AXDR Double Row Angular Contact Roller Bearings

AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings are double-direction, screw-on precision bearing units for applications with high rigidity requirements, such as milling heads, rotary tables, or swivel axes. The bearings absorb axial and radial loads as well as tilting moments, making them one of the most popular bearing types.

AXDR bearings consist of two filled roller rows laid out in an O-arrangement. The pressure angle of 45° absorbs the forces and torques occurring in machine tools within a compact design.

AXDR bearings feature substantially higher performance capacities than most axial/radial bearings available on the market. Due to the high design strength, AXDR bearings are less sensitive to the surrounding construction and can be installed more compactly.

Key Features

High Rigidity Design

Double-row O-arrangement rollers with a 45° pressure angle uniformly absorb loads and torques from all directions

Full Complement Design (VX)

Full-complement roller element sets achieve maximum rigidity with low friction torque

High Precision

Meets DIN 620 P5 tolerance standards, with optional PRR50 restricted running accuracy

Pre-lubricated Delivery

Standard grease lubrication, with re-lubrication bores for easy maintenance

Product Series

Series Design Features Description Typical Applications
AXDR-VX Full Complement Design Full roller element sets, maximum rigidity, pre-lubricated Milling heads, rotary tables, high-rigidity machine tool applications

Design Types

AXDR-VX Full Complement Roller Bearing Design

AXDR-VX is a full complement roller design with the following features:

  • Full-complement roller element sets for maximum rigidity
  • Optimally-dimensioned end clearance between the cylindrical rollers for low friction torque
  • Delivered pre-lubricated
  • Lubrication bores for relubrication are of a conventional design

Bearing Structure

AXDR bearings consist of two rings: an inner ring and an outer ring. The rollers are introduced via special axial filling openings in the bearing, which are sealed with a plug. In contrast to radial filling holes, the raceway is not interrupted, ensuring accurate and smooth running of the bearing.

Application Frequency

AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings are frequently used in machine tools as an alternative to axial/radial bearings. Because they are directly comparable to AXRY bearings, both bearing types are calculated under the same frame conditions and can be directly interchanged when the surrounding construction is designed in accordance with the myonic catalog data.
