8.1 LUBE-S (LS) Long-term Lubrication

LUBE-S

LUBE-S is integrated into the carriage and can be easily replaced

All types of MINIRAIL carriages can be ordered with LUBE-S lubricant as an option.

The ingenious long-term lubrication system LUBE-S is a lubricant reservoir. It uses the capillary effect to apply lubricant externally directly to the ball circulation track in all orientations. LUBE-S is integrated inside the carriage and lubricates all directly load-bearing ball bearings. LUBE-S ensures lubrication even in short stroke applications (see Chapter 6.6.2).

Carriages equipped with LUBE-S are supplied with gap wipers (see Chapter 9.2.1).

Compact Solution

The external dimensions of the carriage remain unchanged. Therefore the maximum stroke is not affected.

Carriage length remains unchanged when using LUBE-S, so stroke distance is not affected

Smoothness

The LUBE-S reservoir contacts the ball bearing at a single point. Therefore the push force of the carriage is not affected and the smoothness of the MINIRAIL system is maintained at a high level.
