18.2 Handling and Storage

MINI-X products are high precision components and should be handled with care. Therefore, for internal transport of these products, the following points should be observed:

• Transport guide rails and accessories in original packaging
• Protect guide rails from impact
• Always transport MINIRAIL and MINISCALE PLUS carriages on guide rails or protective plastic rails

To prevent damage, the following instructions should be observed:

• Storage in original packaging is limited to a finite period. Product condition should be checked regularly.
• Do not store products outdoors. Protect them from moisture and humidity (10% – 70% non-condensing)
• Pay attention to temperature:

• Only remove products from original packaging at the installation location and immediately before assembly.
• For guideways delivered pre-lubricated, check the lubricant (lubricant has a limited service life).
• Always store MINIRAIL and MINISCALE PLUS carriages on guide rails or plastic rails to protect the rolling elements.
