Without lubrication, the running surface of linear guideways is completely destroyed after only 10,000 revolutions.
Guideways with DryRunner coating can achieve over 100 million revolutions without lubrication, extending service life by a factor of 10,000. In vacuum environments, DryRunner-coated guideways without lubrication can achieve over 50 million revolutions.
For excellent running performance, we recommend combining DryRunner coating with minimal lubrication using conventional lubricants.

- The coating is only applied to running surfaces. From a production standpoint, other external surfaces may be coated, but not the support and positioning surfaces of the guideway.
- DryRunner does not provide corrosion protection. For corrosion-resistant guideways, stainless steel material (RF) or Duralloy coating (DU) must be ordered.
Advantages of DryRunner
- Good emergency running characteristics in case of insufficient lubrication
- Suitable for applications in air or vacuum environments
- Minimal wear
- High chemical resistance
Notes:
- DryRunner allows minimal lubrication operation.
- We recommend using FORMULA-S cage positioning (KS) (see section 7.8).
- The special versions ZG (multi-part linear guideways) and SSQ quality class are not supported. Quality class SQ is available on request (see sections 7.4 and 7.1).
