5.3.4 Transport Protection including Assembly Fixture
Transport Protection including Assembly Fixture
MONORAIL BZ guide rails with lengths greater than 1200 mm are delivered with a transport fixture. This fixture consists of aluminum L-profile sections connected to the BZ guide rail via multiple clamps. The L-profile stabilizes and protects the BZ system during storage, transport, and installation, preventing bending deformation. The top of the profile has multiple threaded fixing holes for installing eye bolts for use with lifting equipment.
The BZ system should always be transported in an upright position, i.e., with the rack facing downward, as the guide rail and transport fixture have better rigidity in this orientation. The transport fixture should only be removed after the BZ guide rail is secured to the machine. For more information, please refer to the MONORAIL BZ Installation Manual.

Fixture Functions
Stable Support
L-profile provides additional rigidity, preventing guide rail bending during transport
Protective Function
Protects the precision rack and guide rail surfaces from damage
Lifting Convenience
Threaded holes on top facilitate safe lifting with hoisting equipment
Installation Assistance
Maintains guide rail straightness, facilitating installation alignment
Recommended Installation Steps
Preparation
Confirm installation location is clean and flat, check fixing hole positions
Position Guide Rail
Keep transport fixture installed, move BZ system to installation position
Secure Guide Rail
Tighten all fixing screws according to torque specifications
Remove Fixture
Only remove transport fixture after confirming guide rail is fully secured
Final Check
Inspect guide rail straightness, parallelism, and screw tightening status
Important Notes
- No Laying Flat: Guide rail must not be laid flat during transport; must be kept upright (rack facing down)
- Keep Fixture Attached: Do not remove transport fixture before installation is complete to prevent guide rail deformation
- Careful Lifting: Use appropriate lifting equipment, avoid impact and vibration
- Check Integrity: Inspect fixture and guide rail for transport damage upon receipt
