General Information

The accuracy of the fits and the geometrically correct design of all connecting parts have a direct effect on the running accuracy and the dynamic properties of the bearing and the table.

Please observe the construction notes in the general catalogue chapter.

The actual dimension of the bearing bore can be found in the inspection report included with each bearing.

Important Note

Fit accuracy directly affects bearing running accuracy and dynamic performance. Please ensure the geometric accuracy of the shaft meets the requirements.

Normal Requirements

On rotating and stationary shafts, the bearing inner ring is to be supported across its whole surface and the shaft is to be designed with a fit according to h5.

This creates a transition fit with a slight clearance tendency through the interaction with the bore tolerance.

Higher Requirements

For special requirements, the clearance fit must be further restricted within the specified tolerance grade:

Maximum Running Accuracy

If maximum running accuracy is required, a clearance fit of 0 should be aimed for. Otherwise, the clearance fit can add itself to the bearing radial runout.

High Dynamic Properties

At higher speeds and longer duty cycles, a press fit of 0.005 mm must not be exceeded.

Tolerance Description:
T1 = Roundness tolerance
T2 = Parallelism tolerance (shoulder face relative to journal)
T3 = Perpendicularity tolerance (shoulder face relative to journal axis)
Rmax = Maximum chamfer radius

AXRY-NGX-SBI Shaft Fits (Outer Ring Rotates)

For the NGX-SBI series (outer ring rotates, inner ring stationary), a looser fit can be used since the inner ring does not rotate. The fit principles are the same as NGX, but tolerance requirements can be appropriately relaxed.

NGX-SBI Fit Recommendation

When the outer ring rotates, the inner ring remains stationary on the shaft. In this case, a clearance fit or slight transition fit can be used for the shaft to facilitate installation and thermal expansion compensation. Recommended shaft tolerance is g6 / h6.
