7.2.3 Accuracy Classes
MINIRAIL carriages and guide rails are manufactured to high precision independently of each other. Carriages are interchangeable. This means that any carriage of the same size and accuracy class can be used on the guide rail without affecting the preload class.
MINISCALE PLUS carriages and guide rails are also manufactured to high precision. Due to the integrated linear encoder, carriages and guide rails are matched to each other and can therefore only be replaced as a set.
The G1 and G3 accuracy classes both offer a range of precision MINIRAILs suited to the customer's specific application needs. The accuracy class determines the dimensional tolerance and running accuracy of the carriage on the guide rail:
- High precision G1
- Standard precision G3
Note
- MINIRAIL is available in accuracy classes G1 and G3
- MINISCALE PLUS is always delivered with accuracy class G1

Tolerance Specifications
| Accuracy Class | Tolerance | |
|---|---|---|
| A and B2 | ΔA and ΔB2 | |
| G1 | ± 10 µm | 7 µm |
| G3 | ± 20 µm | 15 µm |
| A and B2: Measured relative to carriage center ΔA and ΔB2: Measurement difference of multiple carriages at the same position on guide rail | ||
For the measurements above, the guide rail is mounted on a flat surface. Measurement is taken from the middle of the carriage. Due to measurement stability, it is based on the midpoint of the two support surfaces.
