Bearing Overview
AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings are double-row bolt-fastening precision bearing units designed for applications requiring high rigidity, such as milling heads, rotary tables, or swivel axes.
The bearings can absorb axial and radial loads as well as tilting moments. Due to these characteristics, they are one of the most popular types among axial/radial bearings.
Design Features
- Consists of two filled roller rows arranged in an O-arrangement
- Preload angle of 45° to absorb forces and torques occurring in machine tools
- Has higher performance capabilities than most axial/radial bearings on the market
- Less sensitive to surrounding structures due to high design rigidity
Bearing Structure
AXDR bearings consist of two rings:
- Inner ring
- Outer ring
Rollers are introduced through radial filling plugs into the axial filling opening of the bearing and sealed with plugs. Unlike radial filling holes, the raceway is not interrupted, ensuring smooth bearing operation.
AXDR is equipped with full-complement roller element bearing type VX.
AXDR-VX Design
VX: Full-complement roller element sets achieve maximum rigidity.
Main Features
- Full complement roller design
- O-arrangement double-row rollers
- 45° preload angle
- Pre-lubricated delivery
Performance Advantages
- Optimized end clearance between cylindrical rollers
- Friction torque remains low
- Re-lubrication hole design follows traditional standards
Application Areas
myonic AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings have higher performance capabilities than most axial/radial bearings on the market. Due to high design rigidity, AXDR bearings are less sensitive to surrounding structures and can be installed more compactly.
Typical Applications
AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings are frequently used in machine tools, with typical applications including:
- Rotary tables
- Milling heads
- Swivel axes
- High-precision positioning systems
Comparison with AXRY
Due to direct comparability with AXRY bearings, both bearing types are calculated under the same frame conditions and can be directly interchanged when the surrounding structure design complies with myonic catalog data. Detailed surrounding structure design information can be found in the general catalog chapter.
