Bearing Overview
AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings are double-direction, screw-on precision bearing units ready for installation, designed for applications with high rigidity requirements such as milling heads, rotary tables, or swivel axes.
The bearings absorb both axial and radial loads as well as tilting moments backlash-free. Due to these characteristics, they are one of the most popular types among axial/radial bearings.
Design Features
- Consists of two raceways with tilted cylindrical rollers laid out in an O-arrangement
- Pressure angle of 45°, ideal for absorbing the forces and torques occurring in machine tools
- Has substantially higher performance capacities than most axial/radial bearings on the market
- Less sensitive to the surrounding construction due to high design strength
Bearing Structure
AXDR bearings consist of two rings:
- Inner ring
- Outer ring
The rollers are introduced via special axial filling openings in the bearing, which are then sealed with a plug. In contrast to radial filling holes, the raceway is not interrupted, ensuring accurate and smooth running of the bearings.
AXDR bearings are filled with full complement roller elements (bearing type VX).
AXDR-VX Design
VX: Full-complement roller element sets achieve maximum rigidity.
Main Features
- Full complement roller design
- O-arrangement double-row rollers
- 45° pressure angle
- Delivered pre-greased
Performance Advantages
- Optimally-dimensioned end clearance between cylindrical rollers
- Friction torque remains low
- Lubrication bores for relubrication of conventional design
Application Areas
myonic AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings feature substantially higher performance capacities than most axial/radial bearings available on the market. Due to the high design strength, AXDR bearings are less sensitive to the surrounding construction and can be installed more compactly.
Typical Applications
AXDR double row angular contact roller bearings are frequently used in machine tools, with typical applications including:
- Rotary tables
- Milling heads
- Swivel axes
- High-precision positioning systems
Comparison with AXRY
Due to direct comparability with AXRY bearings, both bearing types are calculated under the same frame conditions and can be directly interchanged when the surrounding structure design complies with myonic catalog data. Detailed surrounding structure design information can be found in the general catalog chapter.
