Dynamic rigidity or rigidity of the rolling element set

The rolling element set is calculated here with infinitely rigid surroundings and screw connection. The calculated values serve only as a cross-comparison between the individual rolling bearing types and do not indicate the expected rigidity of the axis. If the machine manufacturer models or calculates these themselves, the data can be requested from myonic.

Static rigidity or rigidity of the bearing position

This is a frequently used calculation procedure that takes into account the deformation of the rings and screw connections. The results are only directly comparable if exactly the same measuring points are applied.

myonic calculation procedure

The myonic calculation procedure takes the following into account:

Calculation procedure diagram
  • Adjacent constructions and screw connections in accordance with the standards of the information in the product sections
  • Standard preload
  • Operating loads applied during the calculation

All product groups are based on the same FEM calculation method with precisely defined parameters. This means that all rigidity values stated for the individual product groups (AXRY/AXDR/AXCR) are directly comparable.

An under-dimensioned or poorly executed adjacent construction substantially reduces the rigidity of the axis. Conversely, a better bearing support structure can also increase the rigidity.

In the AXRY series, the axial rigidity and tilting rigidity in the corresponding direction can be increased through whole-surface support of the L-section rings. Depending on the thickness of the supporting ring, the tilting rigidity can be increased by up to 20%. You can find more detailed information about this in our product sections.
