Product Overview
MONORAIL AMSABS 3B is an integrated absolute position measuring system offered by SCHNEEBERGER, combining high-precision magneto-resistive position sensors with the proven MONORAIL MR four-row roller guideway. This system provides an ideal solution for machine tools, semiconductor equipment, and high-end automation applications requiring the highest precision positioning and real-time position feedback.
Absolute Measuring Advantages
Unlike incremental systems, absolute measuring systems provide precise position information immediately upon power-up, without requiring a homing procedure. This significantly reduces machine startup time and ensures immediate resumption of machining operations after power interruption, substantially improving production efficiency.
AMSABS 3B employs magneto-resistive measuring principle, with the read head directly integrated into the carriage housing for a compact system design. The magnetic scale tape is embedded in the guideway side, fully protected from external environmental influences. The system offers SSI and BiSS-C digital interface options for easy integration with various control systems.

Integrated Read Head Design
AMSABS 3B carriages integrate the read head inside the carriage housing, with the read head output cable routed from the carriage side. The carriage body is identical to MONORAIL MR, with the same load capacity and mechanical characteristics.
