Pre-Installation Preparation
Proper installation is key to ensuring the performance of the linear bearing system. Before installation, carefully read the installation instructions and prepare the necessary tools and equipment.
Basic Installation Requirements
Installation Surface Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Flatness | Depends on product accuracy class, typically ≤ 0.05 mm/m |
| Surface Roughness | Ra ≤ 6.3 µm |
| Cleanliness | Free from oil, dust, debris |
| Threaded Holes | Meet specified position and depth requirements |
Shaft Requirements (Recirculating Units)
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Diameter Tolerance | h6 or stricter |
| Straightness | ≤ 0.05 mm/m |
| Surface Roughness | Ra ≤ 0.4 µm |
| Hardness | HRC 58-64 (hardened steel) |
Linear Guideway Installation Steps
Installation Procedure
- Clean - Thoroughly clean installation surfaces and guideways
- Position - Place guideway at installation location
- Secure Center - First secure the center bolt of the guideway
- Align - Use measuring tools to verify straightness
- Secure Ends - Secure the bolts at both ends of the guideway
- Sequential Securing - Secure other bolts sequentially from center to ends
- Check - Check if carriage slides smoothly on guideway
- Install Carriage - Carefully install carriage, avoid ball dropout
Recirculating Unit Installation Steps
Installation Procedure
- Clean - Clean shaft and recirculating unit
- Check - Verify shaft dimensions and surface quality
- Lubricate - Apply appropriate amount of lubricating oil on shaft
- Install - Carefully slide recirculating unit onto shaft
- Position - Adjust to correct position
- Secure - Use appropriate securing method
- Test - Test run to confirm no abnormalities
Bolt Tightening Specifications
| Bolt Size | Tightening Torque (Nm) |
|---|---|
| M3 | 1.0 - 1.5 |
| M4 | 2.5 - 3.0 |
| M5 | 4.0 - 5.0 |
| M6 | 8.0 - 10.0 |
| M8 | 20.0 - 25.0 |
| M10 | 40.0 - 50.0 |
Note: Please use a torque wrench to avoid over-tightening causing deformation.
