7.2.2 Reference and Support Surfaces
The reference and support surfaces of carriage and guide rail are marked as follows.
Standard sizes 7, 9, 12 and 15

Guide rail reference and support surfaces
The polished reference face of the carriage is on the opposite side from the company logo/type designation. Either side of the guide rail can be used as the reference face.
